2011.. At A Glance.

Well 2011 does hold some suprises! Where to begin? The Welsh legends Funeral For A Friend's new album, or the return album of Blink 182?

For this article I will say, Funeral For A Friend excite me the most at the minute.

After listening to their back catolouge on the way to De Montfort Uni today I fell in love with them all over again. Not a single bad track on "Your History Is Mine". But one track caught and hooked me especially. "Captains Of Industry". This song is scary at times, because of how good all the melodies work together. I dont think I have heard a better guitar sound from a band then I have in the chorus of this song. The way the vocalists pitch hits just above the guitar is quite frankly outstanding.

The smile on Mat Davies face describes everything about Funeral For A Friend. This band have been going for ten year's and still make outstanding music. On everyone of their albums there has been a standout track which has taken FFAF's career to new hights. Wether it be Juneau, Roses For The Dead, Into Oblivion or Waterfront Dance Club to mention a few. You just cant tire of listening to this band. The superb guitar licks keep you hooked and wanting more. Matt's impressive lyrics and strong vocal's shock to the core.

Funeral For A Friend have already cemented their name in music history as one of the driving forces of early Milenium Rock. I personally didn't start listening til around Casualy Dressed but I can see what I have missed. Their new album "Welcome Home Armageddon" is sure to be a return to their routes and is essentialy going to boost them to even greater hights. With Festival dates booked. A spring tour planned. Its going to be a good year for FFAF.

They sing "I'll stand into Oblivion". And I will stand into Oblivion when Welcome Home Armageddon comes out. And rock out listening to it as it happens.

TOWZ.
