The Bands Of Youth - Part 1.

Blink 182

Where to begin? This is the band that I and numerous others of my generation grew up on. The whiny American voice of Tom De-Longe, the underated bass of Mark Hoppus and the insane drumming skills of Travis Barker. Without this band in our youth we would not know half of the sexual jokes that we tell on a daily basis today.

Blink 182 started in the young old days of 1992 a year before the mighty 1993 of course. And originally started without Barker as their main drummer. Scott Raynor was their drummer for "Dude Ranch" and everything that was released before that, due to the popular sucsess of the album the band went on to tour America. Unfortenetly due to personal reasons Scott was asked to leave the band and would eventualy be replaced by Travis Barker.

They went on to release;
Enema Of The State
Take Off Your Pants And Jacket
Blink 182

These albums were well recieved world wide and spawned instant sing along classics such as "I Miss You", "Violence" and "Always" just to name a few off of their latest album. These songs captivated their audience and made fans fall more and more deeply in love with Blink 182. But then the year of 2005 happenend...

BLINK 182 SPLIT UP (Its kind of pointless making it dramatic seeing as whats happenend now) But yes, the band that was so popular with teenagers and young people alike had broken up. The reason? Tom De Longe's quest for control over the band being challanged by Hoppus and Barker. Basically, De Longe ruined Blink 182 for everybody. BOOO.

Events passed and numerous spin of bands were formed along the lines of
Angels And 182 Airwaves
+182
Boxcar Blink

2008 came along and of course to the saddenend news the public heard that Travis Barker was involved in a serious plane crash killing Janes Addiction lead singer nd many others. Travis and DJ Ahbha were the solo survivors (Another thing to add to his reproitaire). This spawned Mark and Tom to check on him in Hospital.. Following the much loved reformation of Blink 182 (Now with an extra arrow)

Blink 182 toured America showcasing their old songs and giving fans that missed them the first time around to see them. America was back in Blink land making fans go crazy and making tickets sell out within minutes of release. Blink made their showcase UK return at the Reading And Leeds Festival 2010. That of which me and a few friends attended. Blink 182 are nothing special live. Fact. But the sing alongs and jokes about how Tom will go down on Barack Obama will never get old.

I Fell In Love With Blink 182 At The Rock Show.

TOWZ.
