Can't Stop Addicted To The Shindig.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers. A name which has already gone down in musical history yet they continue strong with an endless seem of hits under their belt they are at work on a new album at present to provide us with even more extravagent (Sorry for the fail spelling) musical selection.

Back in the grand old days of 1985, A little old band called The Red Hot Chili Peppers first former with the original lineup of Jack Irons, Flea, Anthony Kiedis and Hillel Slovak. (As seen below) The original band were lets face it (Not the Chilis we know today) and throughout the initial yers of the band few songs were made. However unlike the Chilis today Kiedis had troubles with drug addiction with his fellow bandmate Slovak eventualy dying of an overdose in June 25th 1988. This played on the mid of Irons and he did not wish to be part of a band where his bandmates and friends were falling down and losing the battle to drugs, this led to his departure to Pearl Jam only to leave Pearl Jame due to the death still being heavily on his mind.
The 1989 to 1990 period is where the Chili pepers were well and truly born with their natural members taking place. John Frusciante took the place of the empty guitar spot whilst Chad Smiths audition where he outplayed Flea cemented his place in the band for good. However this would only be the first of Frusciantes arrivals.

After the making of Blood Sex Sugar Majik which spawned the famous sing alongs of "Give it away" and "Under the bridge" to name to. Problems sparked within the band with Frusciante. This led to the departure of John for the first time and his quick replacement of Dave Navarro from Janes Addiction. Nice time to leave John, right when the band hits big! However throughout this period of stardom and sucsess Kiedis returned to the dependence of his earlier addiction and this was apperently the reason for Navarro's departure from the band due to him falling backwards over an amp. WEHAYYY.

Whilst away from the band Frusciante also resumed his addiction to Herion, personally this band must of had more Herion then a cuban drug lord. But none the less his addiction had led him to near death until he checked into a reabilitation clinic. This led to possibly the most important visit from Flea to his former bandmate while taking him get well muffins and a new plant he also took a open invitation to re-join the Chili Peppers. Pretty sure anyone would take this as a gift it takes less care to look after then the plant in all honesty.

And so, The Chili Peppers were reformed again! They were ready to record and were in the mood to make some sing alongs. The band hit the studio and came out with the album of "Californication". This album is where the Chili Peppers broke through the previous unsucsess on the radio and hit a peak posistion with the leading single "Californication". Of course many of us remember this song for the amazing and jaw dropping video game video that went along with it. No matter how much we wished, no game company would make it. The song went onto win the 2000th Grammy award for best rock song and boosted the Chilis into world wide sucsess. Suddenly everyone knew the meaning of RHCP.

After touring and promoting that album. The band went onto record the multi million selling "By The Way" record. This is where Chili Peppers cemented their place in music history. All other rock bands knew that they would make it big and here it is. This album spawned the tracks "By The Way" "Cant Stop" "The Zephyr Song" and "Universally Speaking". All of these tracks sit within the hearts of every RHCP fan as jewls in their crown. Can't Stop being my personal choice of RHCP track. As soon as anyone hears that guitar at the start of the song a tension builds to the point of where as soon as the song kicks in, you cant help but jump. Of course I get labbled a fanboy for having this as my favourite RHCP song but. Who cares?

After the raving sucsess of this album the Chilis went back into the studio to record Stadium Arcadium. Now everyone knew it was never going to be as good as the music from By The Way but it still pulled its weight pretty well. Providing two hit singles "Dani California" and "Snow" the album sold like they wanted it to, Just again not as good as By The Way. Dani California went onto win numerous rock awards and for its video which I think is one of the best music videos ever created. Can't Stop also being at the top. The band toured this album well with the final part of their tour taking place at Reading Festival 2007. However you can tell that touring was taking its toll.

The band unfortenetly took... Those most deadliest of words.. A Hiatus.

This hiatus led to the second departure of Frusciante and to the reapointment of Josh Klinghoffer as their studio guitarist. He was originally the touring guitarist of the Chilis. But now they are onto making their tenth album. A record only rivaled by Weezers 756th release earlier this year.

On October 15, 2010, Chad Smith said in a interview that the new album would be out by next summer, although the band hopes that they will have it finished in time to be released by March 2011. Smith also said that the band already has festival dates booked for the summer of 2011. This being a statement which filled me with hope to see them next year at Reading Festival with some close friends of mine. <3 href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNaWRsb7q5lTbgTMU0ukX5ldVXMevUJS_uEMVAdUw7efs6phF-LohzfBIlrZS5v9dB27j9U-vNfr8mZWiHCISlB49KUL2BcmmbvaBBuCLMHhS9Oaz36H9F2RMark4vXtDhejmKuqkIEA/s1600/Redhotchilipeppers.jpg">
Californication asks to "Buy me a star on a boulevard". Dear Red Hot Chili Peppers you have forever cemented yourself a star by making the music you do and staying original.

TOWZ.
